German Wheel - Mixed Levels

Cost: $85 ($150 for both Saturday and Sunday workshops)

In this workshop, beginning students will get a thorough introduction to this unique apparatus and students with some previous experience will explore more challenging variations on beginner skills. We'll cover rock, roll with a partner, cartwheels, basic flips, and some spiral. Come ready to work hard and have tons of fun! All heights welcome.

Harness and Wall Dance

You may have seen the dancing wall act in our recent SPACE show or watched awesome videos of people dancing on the side of buildings. Well now you can try out this crazy cool form of vertical dance. This workshop will cover some basics of working in a harness and learning choreography on a horizontal surface. No experience required
.
Functional Aerial Body

Description: Your body is your tool for aerial arts and every body has its individual challenges. In this workshop, each attendee will undergo the top tier SFMA (Selective Functional Movement Assessment) which provides a broad overview of an individual’s mobility, stability and movement patterns. We will then look at some common aerial skills in light of these results.

CYR Wheel - Beginner and Intermediate

Cost: $70 per 2 hr. session

Come and try this mesmerizing apparatus: the CYR wheel. Allison is a full time performing artist and certified PAT (progressive axis training) coach with years of teaching experience and a passion for growing artists' skills and flow. PAT focuses on the fundamentals of ground movements and physics needed to elevate and efficiently hone one’s CYR Wheel skills.

Sometimes called the “Dance Trapeze,” the single point trapeze is rigged to a single point with the ability to spin, which lends itself to very interesting visuals. This class will teach hangs, wraps and poses in a choreography on the single point trapeze.

Come explore the wide world of momentum on trapeze and lyra! Class content may include drops to ankles, full release moves from hands or knees, muscle-ups and moves out of beats. It’s recommended that students bring long sleeves and ankle protection.

Prerequisites: Must have an unassisted pullover (tagging ropes with feet ok,) solid ankle hang, comfortable knee and hand beats, and be able to do at least one pull-up.

Try Trapeze and Silks

Ever wanted to experience that thrill of dangling from the ceiling? Now you can try it out! This is a great opportunity to grab a friend and try out one of these fun and challenging circus apparatus.
All skills will be spotted and low to the ground.
No experience required.
